RAIDtower III
I found four larger 4 foot shelving rails at a hardware store, and some of the goodies I found on eBay had arrived.
It was time to build another drive array.
The box of harddrives: IBM DCHS-09Y, which are 9G U/W SCA drives.
14 are mine, 3 belong to a friend, 2 are DOA.
The SCSI backplanes: SCA 6 drive 3 channel, some LVD some U/W SCSI.
The final product...
It's plugged into tavern (box next to the tower) and it's 2 channel Mylex PCI to SCSI RAID controller (32M Cache).
Note the 3rd set of shelving rails on each side in the center, running from top to bottom. Heatsinks.
